From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that hygiene was not a priority at Masterson’s . The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and neglected washrooms suffused the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of urine , old age and sickness . The main bar, which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and debris that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The bathroom was in even a truly awful state— clogged , with a cracked flush mechanism and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was human excrement .
